A groundbreaking approach is used to promote inclusive leadership in Ethiopia and beyond.
The African Leadership Excellence Academy and the Ministry of Women and Social Affairs have signed a landmark agreement to work together to empower Ethiopian and African women, youth, and the disabled.
The African Leadership Excellence Academy and the Minister of Women and Social Affairs have partnered to empower underprivileged groups in social, economic, and political aspects.
Mr. Zadig Abreha emphasized the academy’s strategic reform, transformation, and scaling up, recognizing the pivotal role of women in shaping the continent’s future. The agreement encompasses initiatives like the Women’s Leadership Development Program and a $5 million project to foster ties between women leaders and the Global Center for Gender Equality in Helsinki, Finland.
Mr. Zadig has announced a six-month leadership development program for two women leaders from each African country, emphasizing investing in the next generation of women leaders.
The Minister, Honorable Ergoge Tesfaye (Dr.), praised the academy’s efforts and reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to protecting the rights of women, youth, and the disabled and ensuring their empowerment at all levels.
The agreement aims to enhance executive bodies’ capacity to produce skilled leaders capable of promoting equity and inclusion in Ethiopia and serving as a model for Africa.
Both parties expressed enthusiasm for a groundbreaking partnership that aims to unlock new opportunities and drive transformative change for marginalized communities in the region.
