During a meeting between Zadig Abreha, Chief of AFLEX, and Samuel, the country Director of the Master Card Foundation in Ethiopia, they explored areas of partnership.

Mr. Zadig offered a comprehensive overview of AFLEX’s leadership development programs and three-year strategy. They further discussed scaling up and transformation initiatives.

The Chief highlighted Master Card Foundation-Ethiopia’s substantial efforts in youth development and entrepreneurship. The African Leadership Excellence Academy aims to serve as a platform for African youth to discuss continent-wide development and improve their entrepreneurial skills using an African-centric approach.

Mr. Zadig anticipated collaborating with AFLEX on designing a master’s education and leadership development program, suggesting that foundation meetings be held at the AFLEX center.

Mr.Samuel, the Master Card Foundation-Ethiopian Country Director, expressed his sincere appreciation for the clarification and appreciated AFLEX’s initiative to build a leadership development center and infrastructure that is comparable with other training institutions.

He emphasized the importance of engaging in broad discussions concerning youth entrepreneurship, women’s capacity building, and civil service initiatives that align with the foundation’s mission and goals.
