The Academy of African Leadership Excellence convened a discussion at the Leadership Development Center in Sululta to review the first 100 days of 2024 and assess the accomplishments of its first quarter plan.
During the meeting, Wondye Legesse (PhD), the Vice Chief of the Operation Sector, addressed the current situations in the international political economy and their implications for Ethiopia, highlighting the predicted benefits of ongoing reforms and the importance of sustaining a stable macro-economy; his presentation also covered issues related to productivity and competitiveness across various sectors, along with necessary reforms in government and civil services, ultimately providing a comprehensive overview of key projects and areas that require attention.
Likewise, Mrs. Meseret Desta, The Vice Chief of the Leadership Development sector, provides guidance to employees and department heads regarding performance report meetings, emphasizing the need for the institution to review its plans, identify existing challenges, remain focused on its mission, and demonstrate strong leadership.
Mr. Mtku Chane, the Acting Director of the President’s Office, delivered a comprehensive report on the implementation of the hundred-day plan, highlighting key aspects such as institutional capacity, resource allocation, service delivery, and an evaluation based on key performance indicators.
Directors and staff raised questions and offered comments on the presentations, which the Vice Chiefs of the Academy addressed by providing necessary clarifications.
The feedback received was recognized as constructive and will provide valuable input for future improvements.
Furthermore, both management and staff extended their congratulations and support to Mrs. Meseret Desta, the newly appointed Vice Chief of the Academy’s Leadership Development Sector.
