Delegates of SAI led by the vice president, Professor Mei Lihong, visited AFLEX and held a discussion with the academy’s management team at the Sululuta Training Centre on August 16, 2023. The central part of the discussion was on how AFLEX and SAI could collaborate to establish bilateral ties.

During the discussion, Mrs. Hiwot Alemayehu, Vice Chief of AFLEX, warmly welcomed the guests and highlighted the mission and vision of AFLEX. A primary desire of AFLEX is to collaborate with the SAI is to share resources and experiences, work on human development, take part in Joint workshops, and undertake research in various theme areas. She also explained about the organizational development, training programs, consulting, and scientific research functions of the Academy to strengthen the alliance. Hiwot also appreciated the team for their interest and willingness to cooperate with AFLEX.

Professor Mei Lihong applaud and thanked the academy for having the discussion and emphasized her desire to learn more about each other, identify opportunities for collaboration, and communicate to further strengthen the relationships between the two organizations.

The delegation visited both the headquarters and the AFLEX training facility in Sululta while their stay in Addis.
