AFLEX and the Ethiopian Federal Police discussed the essential actions to establish a peacekeeping mission center at the African Leadership Academy in Sululuta within the AFLEX leadership development program.

All through the conversation between Honorable Commissioner General Demelash G/Michael and Mr. Zadig Abreha, chief of AFLEX, the significant role of the Police Peacekeeping Mission Centre in reinforcing peacekeeping activities in the continent was articulated.

The Commissioner General suggested developing a detailed implementation plan in cooperation with the Police University to begin construction.

In his presentation on Scaling Up and Transformation, Mr. Zadig expressed admiration for the Ethiopian Federal Police’s decision to support AFLEX’s leadership development program.

He expressed certainty that the peacekeeping mission center to be built at AFLEX would generate ideas contributing to peace in Ethiopia and the continent.

He further stressed that proving the center within AFLEX would enhance Ethiopia’s role in peacekeeping across the continent.

The leaders of both institutions have reached a mutual understanding to begin construction of the center soon.
