AFLEX at the Forefront of Reform: Plans for Scaling Up and Transformation Presented to Ethiopian Police University

Mr. Zadig Abraha, the Chief of AFLEX, delivered a compelling presentation on scaling up and transformation to the senior leaders of the Ethiopian Police University.

The presentation, held at the Police University in Sandafa, sparked a fruitful discussion between Abreha and the university’s senior leaders.

During the discussion, the senior leaders expressed their satisfaction with the decision to establish the Federal Police Peacekeeping Mission Centre in AFLEX.

They emphasized their commitment to generating innovative ideas that would contribute to the peace and prosperity of both Ethiopia and Africa as a whole.

Deputy Commissioner General Mesfen Abebe of the Ethiopian Police University highlighted the significance of the African Leadership Excellence Academy Reform as a leadership development program and research center that extends beyond the borders of Ethiopia.

He emphasized the strategy’s potential to foster leadership skills and knowledge among Africans continent-wide.

Furthermore, the President of the Ethiopian Police University emphasized the center’s role in showcasing the contributions of Ethiopians to peace and security in Africa.

The location of the center, surrounded by twelve idea-generation centers, will facilitate extensive research and study.

Other senior leaders of the university echoed the sentiment, acknowledging that the construction of the center would greatly enhance the research work in the field of policing.

The discussion concluded with the announcement of the upcoming foundation stone-laying ceremony, signaling the imminent launch and operation of the center.

As part of his visit, Mr. Zadig Abreha, the Chief of AFLEX Academy, also toured the Ethiopian Police University, further strengthening the ties between the two institutions.
