December 16, 2024 /SULULTA/  “Her Excellency. “Ambassador Birtukan Ayano, State Minister of the FDRE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, inspired volunteer protocol cadets at AFLEX as they began training for the 38th AU Leaders’ Summit.

In her speech, she declared, “Ethiopia is the heart of African diplomacy,” urging the cadets to “showcase our national successes.”

She stressed the vision of making Ethiopia a center for conference tourism, highlighting new projects that will transform the nation into a premier destination for international events.

Introducing the motto “Every citizen is a diplomat for their own country,” she reflected the Prime Minister’s commitment to volunteerism. “This training will equip you with knowledge of Ethiopia’s foreign relations and essential diplomatic protocols,” she noted.

In conclusion, she expressed confidence that the cadets would “represent our nation with pride” and play a vital role in promoting Ethiopia as a leading hub for conference tourism during the summit.
