AFLEX and NDI Potential partnership

Mr. Zadig Abreha, President of The African Leadership Excellence Academy, met with Franklin Oduro, Resident Country Director of the National Democratic Institute in Ethiopia, to explore potential collaborations.
The meeting discussed the Academy’s leadership development program, aimed at developing Ethiopian and African leaders’ skills, promoting democratic governance, and economic development through joint research, experience-sharing, and staff exchange initiatives.
Zadig Abreha expressed enthusiasm for potential collaboration with the National Democratic Institute, stating their shared goals of promoting democratic values and strengthening local leadership align perfectly.
Franklin Oduro, NDI Resident Country Director, emphasized the significance of fostering robust connections between civil society organizations and government institutions to promote democratic progress in Africa.
During the meeting, AFLEX and NDI discussed several areas of potential collaboration, including Joint Research Initiatives: The Academy and NDI may conduct joint research projects on topics such as leadership development, democratic governance, and economic development.
Organizations can exchange best practices and experiences in leadership development, capacity-building, and institutional strengthening.
The Academy and NDI are planning to exchange staff members to exchange knowledge and insights about each other’s programs and methodologies.
The organizations may enter into a partnership agreement to collaborate on promoting democratic values and enhancing Ethiopian and African leadership.
The meeting concluded with both parties agreeing to continue exploring collaboration and partnership, with Mr. Zadig Abreha expressing the hope of positively impacting African leaders’ skills.
