AFLEX Partners with Young CEO Forum and Amigos Institute for Broader Reach and Community Development

SULULTA – July 17, 2025 (AFLEX) – The African Leadership Excellence Academy (AFLEX) has forged new partnerships with the Young CEO Forum, a private sector organization, and Amigos Institute, which specializes in construction and engineering works.

These collaborations will enable AFLEX to expand its leadership development initiatives beyond government and civil society into the private sector.

One of the key agreements reached with the Young CEO Forum is to jointly work towards bringing the annual African Economic Business Forum, currently held in the UK, to Ethiopia.

This move will not only make the platform more accessible to African entrepreneurs but also contribute to the growth of Ethiopia’s conference tourism and open doors for African investors to engage in the country.

This initiative aligns with AFLEX’s broader goal of ensuring that African issues are addressed and resolved within forums held on the African continent.

Furthermore, AFLEX’s agreement with Amigos Institute, which focuses on construction and engineering, includes several significant projects.

These encompass transitioning the Academy’s power source to solar energy, drilling a well within the Academy’s premises to provide clean drinking water to the surrounding Sululta community, installing solar-powered streetlights on local roads, and expanding ongoing smart farm projects by integrating necessary technologies.

Dr. Wondiye Legesse, Vice President for Business Development and Administration at AFLEX, stated that this agreement will play a crucial role in the Academy’s efforts to ensure the local community benefits from its development initiatives.
