Addis Ababa: May 12, 2025 (AFLEX) – The President of AFLEX, Mr. Zadig Abraha, emphasized that the justice framework of inclusion is not about becoming one but rather about respecting and accommodating diversity.
This statement was made during a training session for senior leaders of the Ministry of Justice.
In the training on the political economy and justice from an Ethiopian perspective, Mr. Zadig noted that the current justice system has been influenced by Western culture and history, which often overlooks indigenous knowledge.
“We must forget some things on purpose and remember them on purpose,” Mr. Zadig remarked, emphasizing the need for a more nuanced approach to justice.
The president also stressed that justice has a critical role in fostering public trust in the system.
The training underscored the importance of a justice framework that embraces differences while working toward common goals.
