New Collaboration Set to Transform Local Tourism Landscape

In a strategic move to enhance leadership development initiative in tourism sector, AFLEX has entered a partnership with the Ministry of Tourism (MoT)

The today signed memorandum of understanding (MoU) at MoT office aims to advance tourism related leadership programs and developing Ethiopia’s tourist destination

The agreement was signed by Mr. Zadig Abreha, President of AFLEX and the Minister of Tourism, Mrs. Selamawit Kassa.

The partnership outlines collaborative efforts to expand leadership development in the tourism sector with a strong emphasis on: Knowledge and Experience Sharing, joint researches, training programs, leadership award, and related events

In remarks following the signing of the MoU, president of AFLEX Mr. Zadig Abreha recognized tourism’s potential for national economic change. He also highlighted AFLEX’s undergoing reform and transformation. “Our focus on leadership development through training and exposure will enhance competencies, and we are excited to collaborate with the Ministry of Tourism in this effort.” said Mr. Zadig.

H.E Mrs. Selamawit Kassa stated “Tourism is one of the major macroeconomic income sources, and to bring significant change in the sector, we must heal the organizational brocade. Enhancing leadership is crucial for this purpose, and this agreement with AFLEX will help us achieve that.” This partnership marks a significant step towards a more integrated approach to tourism leadership, combining resources and expertise to create lasting positive change
